A 2-3 win over a struggling Villarreal ended the Merengue’s run in the last eight of the competition where FC Barcelona already exists.

Real Madrid, who lost the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona, went home to Villarreal on the final day of the league campaign where they lost 2-1.

Spectacular comeback

A glorious Vinicius picked up the ball on 86, assisted Asensio, who didn’t give up the ball, sent a diagonal pass into the center of the area and Dani Ceballos slotted the ball beautifully for the final 2-3. The visitors advance to the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.
