I go back more than six decades. I was in the fourth grade, in the school with grades I-IV in Măriţeia Mică, Suceava county, with four simultaneous classes. There was a locker with dozens of books in the living room. One day, the teacher Aristica Vasileniuc lent me the book “In the Liuilian Mountains”, by Ma Fân and Si Jun (a translation from Chinese). I remember the names of some characters: Ma Bao Er, Lei Si Ciu, U De Min. I reread the book several times while a cow was grazing. How can I imagine then that in January 2019 I will sign up for the “Ateneu” Magazine on the same page, together with the Chinese Yin Yuguo, who told the story of the 2018 experience at Alba Iulia? Coming from thousands of kilometers to learn the “language of the great calderas”, to know the history and customs of Romania, to read “Luceafărul” in the original is something beyond the understanding of some laymen. But have a terrible and wrongful death at the age of 17? … It is said that the Heavenly Father calls those he loves the most; and that sometimes too fast.
