Final Countdown Begins for Halloween Attractions at Six Flags Frontier City

DARIEN CENTER, NEW YORK — Six Flags Frontier City has announced the final days of its dual Halloween events, Kids Boo Fest® and Fright Fest®, as the park enters the last stretch of its 2025 season. The attraction, described as the region’s leading destination for “spooky Halloween fun and nighttime terror,” will close its gates for the season on 1 November.

The Oklahoma-based amusement park is offering two more weekends of family entertainment, combining daylight festivities suitable for children with nighttime scares designed for older thrill seekers.

“Time is running out at Six Flags Frontier City, the region’s top destination for spooky Halloween fun and nighttime terror,” the park said. “With thrilling rides plus the happy Halloween haunts of Boo Fest by day and spine-chilling Fright Fest by night, the park offers two more weekends for families to make fall memories together.”

Daytime Festivities and Seasonal Offerings

During daylight hours, the park hosts its family-oriented Kids Boo Fest®, aimed at younger visitors and those “who scare easily.” Activities include the Trick or Treat Trail, where children can collect sweets and meet friendly costumed characters. Alongside themed live entertainment and interactive experiences, the park also features “festival foods with a fall twist,” appealing to visitors seeking traditional seasonal flavours.

The park has confirmed that daytime events will run from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on 25 and 26 October. Fright Fest® will then take over from 6 p.m. onwards on Halloween weekend, with evening sessions running on 31 October and 1 November from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Fright Fest: Nighttime Horror Returns

Fright Fest® begins each evening at 6 p.m. and is described as “a fear-filled festival geared toward those age 13 and up.” The event transforms the park’s signature rides and themed zones into immersive horror attractions designed to test visitors’ courage.

The park promises “spine-tinging chills” in its various Scare Zones, each offering unique storylines and sinister settings. New for 2025 is Shadow Realm — “Wander through a dark, eerie shadow world—beware what watches from beyond the haze.” Returning favourites include Clown Town, Killer Cabin, and a series of premium haunted mazes requiring a separate Haunted Attraction Pass.

Among this year’s highlights are two new horror experiences. Terror of Prosperity invites guests into a small-town bank heist gone wrong: “Bank robbers unleash undead secrets in Prosperity—now the vault holds more than just gold.” Other attractions include Cadaver Castle, Devil’s Hollow, Forgotten Freaks, and Midnight Mausoleum, each promising an intense and immersive journey through fear.

Live Entertainment and Seasonal Experiences

The entertainment line-up continues the Halloween theme across multiple stages and parade routes. Among the featured performances is Escape from Prosperity, in which “Cowboys battle a zombie horde to save you—will they succeed? Probably not, but it’s worth a shot. Or six.”

The Fright Fest Parade allows scare actors to showcase their characters “with haunted pride,” while DJ Extreme and Deadman’s Party provide live music and dance entertainment that, according to organisers, “even the dead can’t stay still” for.

More dramatic fare includes Screamation, Freakshow Deluxe, and Zambora, all offering guests the chance to witness theatrical horror with live performers. “Screamation – A witch is captured and burned live—watch closely, because her true fate may not be what it seems,” the event organisers note.

To complement the atmosphere, the park features a variety of themed food and beverage offerings, including “delicious seasonal treats and adult brews and beverages.”

A Seasonal Finale

The park emphasised that “all entertainment, activities and ride availabilities are subject to change,” but noted that both festivals represent the last major events before the end of the operating season. With a blend of light-hearted family fun and mature scares, the dual events are designed to capture the full spectrum of autumnal entertainment.

The park’s management added that visitors can access “photo and video media assets including NEW B-roll” through its press channels.
