Fashion Group International will bring its annual Night of Stars gala back to New York City on October 14, 2026, honoring six leaders from fashion, beauty, media, styling and design at one of the organization’s signature annual fundraising events.
The 42nd annual black-tie gala, scheduled for the Rainbow Room, will carry the theme “The Modernists.” Fashion Group International, or FGI, said this year’s honorees were selected for work that has influenced their respective industries and broader culture through creativity, innovation and leadership.
The evening will begin with a reception at 6:15 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards presentation from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Six Industry Leaders to Receive FGI Awards
Wes Gordon, Creative Director of Carolina Herrera, will receive the Fashion Visionary Award for his creative direction and contribution to modern American fashion.
Fashion communications executive Lucien Pagès will receive the Media Leadership Award, recognizing his role in shaping global narratives surrounding prominent designers and fashion houses.
Designer Roksanda Ilinčić will be presented with the Fashion Star Award for her approach to color, form and craftsmanship and the distinctive design identity of ROKSANDA.
Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer of The Estée Lauder Companies, will receive the Beauty Award for her work as a brand builder and global beauty industry executive.
Celebrity fashion stylist Micaela Erlanger will receive the Style Award in honor of Edith Head, an FGI charter member and influential costume designer. Erlanger is being recognized for her visual storytelling, red-carpet styling and approach to the business of fashion.
Business leader, designer and philanthropist Henry R. Muñoz III will receive the Changemaker Award for his advocacy and contributions across design, architecture, culture and institutional equity.

The cocktail reception will be sponsored by Simon G. Jewelry and hosted by Brooke Brinkman, the jewelry company’s Chief Operations Officer.

Gala Proceeds to Support Fashion Industry Programs
Night of Stars serves as both an industry awards event and a fundraiser for FGI. Proceeds support professional development, mentorship, scholarships, educational programming, career resources and community grants for professionals at different stages of their careers.

Funds raised through our signature gala support Fashion Group International’s education and mentorship programs, scholarships, and essential professional resources, creating meaningful pathways for fashion and beauty leaders to thrive through connection and community.”
FGI traces its history to 1930, when it was chartered by 17 women, including Carmel Snow, Helena Rubinstein, Elizabeth Arden, Edith Head, Claire McCardell, Nan Duskin and Eleanor Roosevelt.
The organization now serves more than 2,500 professionals through regional chapters worldwide. Its programs include the Rising Star Grants Fund, mentorship initiatives and the Ruben and Isabel Toledo Scholarship at the Fashion Institute of Technology, along with other educational and professional development efforts administered by The Fashion Group Foundation.
Night of Stars has developed into a fixture of New York’s fall fashion and society calendar. Previous honorees include Tommy Hilfiger, Rick Owens, Vera Wang, Dries Van Noten, Diane von Furstenberg, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Donatella Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld, Issey Miyake, Giorgio Armani and Donna Karan.
