With the aim of improving the structure of the City Park, the municipality is carrying out various works that will lead to the provision of a safe and suitable space for recreation for those who use the facilities. The property will have a kitchen, a renovated sanitary nucleus, a multi-purpose room to be launched soon, a service and information center, a restaurant, children’s games and a stage for the development of cultural and social activities.
In principle, access is optimized for good pedestrian and vehicular circulation, by complete asphalt, from the entrance porch into the interior of this landscaped space. In this line, the construction of a sidewalk connecting the visitor service center, the stadium and the canteen, which has an approximate area of 520 square meters, has been developed. In addition, they put wooden benches along the circle.
Likewise, the interventions of what is a visitor service center ended positively. The area is 110 square metres, and its aim is to guide and inform visitors of the most important sites found in Posadas and elsewhere in the province. It contains a meeting room, projection screens and audio equipment.
Regarding the canteen area, the semi-covered roof has been expanded, creating space for a gastronomic patio, which will bring more convenience to users. In the same sense, the interior of the place has been improved and the kitchen renovated. Another measure is the construction of the new mixed-use building for the development of cultural and social activities, which has an area of 680 square meters.
Currently, the installation of a games unit to entertain the little ones has been completed. Where it is confirmed that all furniture is of high quality and certified by IRAM-ISO 9001 standards, which means more safety and hygiene for users. It has a station with a roof, an entrance staircase with handrails, a straight handrail-style climber, two enclosed slats, and a bridge connecting all stations. Also, a swing and carousel were placed to complete the educational area, located in the middle of the renovated entertainment area.
On the other hand, a technical team is carrying out a re-evaluation of trees in the sector, by planting palm trees and trees that will be extended throughout the property. In turn, the various existing specimens are checked for authenticity and condition, a measure to prevent future falls.
The City Park improvement will continue to beautify one of the city’s most emblematic green lungs. As work is in progress the facilities will be fully ready to be enjoyed shortly.
