China on Saturday successfully sent seven satellites into space from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwestern Sichuan Province, a launch by a Long March-2C carrier rocket.
The satellites, including six made by Beijing-based Galaxy Space and a commercial remote sensing satellite, have entered their designated orbit, which will verify the network technology and serviceability of the low-orbit Internet constellation. They will also verify remote sensing technology, reports the Xinhua portal.
The launch is Mission 410 of the Long March series carrier rockets.
The mission of the flight will begin to verify and apply integrated communication and remote sensing technologies for low-orbit satellites.
The integration of remote sensing and communications, combined with intelligent ground data processing systems, effectively accelerates emergency response.
The terrestrial data processing system was independently developed by Four Squares Technology, a satellite data analytics company.
