Cubainformacion.- At the Marx Madeira headquarters in Madrid, on Tuesday, October 31 at 8:00 p.m., she met with Cuban researcher Claudia Bernal, representative of the prestigious CIGB, the center that developed Abdullah, one of the most effective vaccines internationally against Covid-19. He will talk about how the island resisted the American blockade.

Claudia Bernal is a young Cuban researcher at the CIGB (Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology) in Havana, where the first Cuban vaccine against COVID-19, Abdullah, was created.Which is applied today, within the framework of South-South cooperation, in addition to Cuba, Mexico, Vietnam, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Nicaragua, Venezuela and Syria. Bernal, an isolation center volunteer and Youth for Life Award winner, will focus her presentation on Cuba’s science and public health efforts in the face of the U.S. government’s economic, financial and trade blockade of Cuba.

Claudia Bernal’s presence comes within the framework of the tour she will make in October through the cities of the Spanish state, led by the groups of the State Movement for Solidarity with Cuba (MESC).

Claudia Bernal Estrada graduated in Industrial Engineering from the Technological University of Havana (CUJAE). He is a foreign trade specialist in the CIGB Imports Directorate for the supply of raw materials, reagents and laboratory materials, as well as procurement associated with research and development of new products. During the pandemic, she participated as a volunteer in isolation centers in the red zone with positive cases of the Coronavirus.
