As Apple explains, Apple Vision Pro’s Realistic Avatar feature will allow users to replace their face with a more realistic virtual avatar during FaceTime video calls. The headset’s motion sensors and cameras are responsible for detecting facial features and creating a high-quality avatar that can speak and move in real time.

According to Patently Apple, the Vision Pro or Apple Watch feature is what the user needs first “Record images of your face and hands on Apple Watch with sensors/cameras on the back”. then, The user can join a FaceTime call and be seen by others in the form of a realistic avatar, similar to Vision Pro.

Apple states in its patent that it requires improved methods and electronic devices with interfaces to create and/or display representations of users. Such methods and interfaces may complement or replace conventional methods for creating and/or displaying user representations.

If implemented, this feature will allow Apple Watch users to take advantage of a portion of the Vision Pro experience without spending more than the 3,000 euros it is believed to cost in Spain.
