Ansomat Launches Centralised Platform to Streamline Digital Work Instruction Management

Ghent, Belgium — Ansomat, a provider of operator guidance technology for manufacturing, has announced the launch of its new Ansomat Management System Platform, a centralised software solution intended to support the creation, management and deployment of digital work instructions.

The platform has been developed in response to changes in modern manufacturing environments, where production lines increasingly rely on a combination of tools and digital systems, including fastening equipment, vision systems and augmented reality technologies. As factories adopt more advanced and varied technologies, manufacturers face growing challenges in ensuring that work instructions remain consistent, accessible and up to date across multiple stations and locations.

In many production settings, work instructions are still created and maintained manually or on a station-by-station basis. This approach can make updates time-consuming and difficult to scale, particularly when changes must be applied across different sites or production lines. According to Ansomat, the new platform is designed to provide a single point of control that allows instructions to be created once and reused across multiple stations and facilities.

“At its core, the Ansomat Management System takes the chaos out of managing work instructions,” said An-Sofie Van Parys, chief executive of Ansomat. “It enables manufacturers to move faster, work more consistently, and scale operations without adding friction, no matter how complex the production environment. Our customers asked for faster instruction creation across site, remote flexibility and more visibility. The new platform delivers all this, and more! It is Ansomat 2.0, with completely new technology under the hood.”

Centralised creation and deployment

The Ansomat Management System allows manufacturers to manage work instructions from a centralised platform rather than directly on the shop floor. Instructions can be designed remotely, reviewed, versioned and approved before being deployed across multiple workstations or sites.

The system includes a visual, drag-and-drop interface intended to simplify instruction creation and reduce the time required to prepare or modify content. Secure browser-based access supports both local and remote use, enabling teams to manage instructions without needing to be physically present on the production line.

By separating instruction design from shop floor execution, the platform aims to reduce the risk of inconsistencies and ensure that operators have access to the most current guidance. Ansomat says this approach can also help improve traceability and support quality management requirements.

Designed for larger manufacturing operations

The platform has been developed with scalability in mind and is intended to support deployment across entire factories or multiple production sites. Built-in collaboration features allow teams from engineering, quality and operations functions to work together on instruction development and approval processes.

Desk-based instruction roll-out enables updates to be prepared and released without requiring production downtime. The system also supports visual and augmented reality-based instructions, allowing manufacturers to incorporate different guidance formats depending on operational needs.

According to the company, this design supports organisations seeking to standardise processes while maintaining flexibility across different production environments.

Visibility into shop floor activity

In addition to instruction management, the platform provides real-time visibility into connected operator guidance stations. Users can monitor station status centrally, with indicators showing whether stations are active, inactive or experiencing issues.

The system records operator actions centrally and presents this data through dashboards and reports. This information can be used to review performance metrics and support operational analysis. For each product assembled, the platform generates a digital record that documents process completion and quality data, commonly referred to as a “birth certificate” in regulated manufacturing environments such as automotive production.

Ansomat states that by combining instruction management with operational visibility, the platform is intended to support more informed decision-making and ongoing process improvement.
