Another 47 people are being searched after the boat capsized near Samana

Authorities are searching for a group of 47 people who were stranded on a boat near Samana Beach tonight.

This information was posted on the Twitter account of the 9-1-1 emergency focus organization, where the Civil Defense, Dominican Republic Air Force, fitted FLIR technology to its aircraft, is participating in the search operation. People in the dark, Navy and 9-1-1 drone crew.

“Since this Friday afternoon, we have been coordinating the rescue of a boat with about 47 people stranded on Samana Beach near Mich in El Cebu province,” the report points out.

Divisions of the National Health Service, the National Police and the MIC Fire Department were also at the scene.

“We inform the families of the victims that we are doing everything we can to ensure the successful completion of the recovery,” 9-1-1 says on its page.

Another boat with at least 41 people capsized last Wednesday morning, of which 8 were found dead yesterday, 23 were rescued and another 10 were missing.

Five bodies were buried this Friday in the Arenoso community in the province of Duarte, amid the pain of the loss of their loved ones.
