It is well known that McDonald's hamburgers cannot rot due to the way they are cooked, where a hot griddle is used to dry out the meat and kill spoilage bacteria. Now, what would happen if you heated a branded hamburger for 30 minutes in the microwave?

by: the time

The experiment was conducted by TikTok user @microwaving30mins, who is known on the platform for microwaving everything from lettuce to a bowl of yogurt with cereal. This time, he was curious to see what happened when a classic Big Mac burger was heated for half an hour. And the result was not at all appealing.

In a one-minute video, the influencer documented his trip to buy a traditional three-tiered burger from AutoMc. He then returned home to begin the experiment: reheating the food in the microwave for half an hour.

“While McDonald’s products don’t usually go bad. They didn’t say anything about how they behave in the microwave, did they?” Harry commented before revealing the result.
