Abinadar begins the expansion of the San Isitro Highway

San Luis Abinader on Thursday gave the first word to begin expansion work on Coronal Rafael Fernandez Tomanzuez Avenue, also known as the San Isitro Highway.

The project involves the construction of two new lanes to increase road capacity from two to four lanes in the direction of traffic. With an investment of 800 million pesos, this year’s budget includes $ 600 million in R.D.

Avenue will intersect from Charles de Gaulle to San Isitro Airport, which will include an additional 5.13 km of routes to return to intersections.

Public Works Minister Telekne Ascension promised that the occupied areas would be reclaimed and that at the end of the mission the municipalities would be able to walk on the sidewalk without endangering their lives.

He announced that Avenue would be designed to establish a VTR rapid transit system.

The Minister assured that the works would be completed by the end of 2022.

The Ascension assured that other works benefiting the citizens of the Santo Domingo Este would be launched in the next few days.
