WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app worldwide, which has gained immense popularity due to its continuous integration of improvements and functions. This week, we asked for more information about a meta-managed tool that tests the ability to react to status updates. What is this feature about and when will it usually be released?

Messenger's plan is to allow reactions in states similar to the functionality that already exists in chats in the app. For the unsuspecting, in mid-2022 Messenger added the possibility to respond to messages without the need to create a new one in the conversation; This is thanks to interactions with emojis. Instead of writing “okay”, “give” or “good”, it's classic to give a thumbs up as an answer.

The screenshot shows a test of the functionality in Apple's iOS version of Messenger. In practice, it allows users to act with hearts for statuses like a kind of “like”.

Status section in WhatsApp is a separate section from traditional chats, communities and channels. Basically, they allow a kind of interaction similar to Instagram Stories, with ephemeral content that disappears 24 hours after the original publication.
