Los Angeles — Jewish Life Television (JLTV), the United States’ largest 24/7 English-language Jewish-themed television network, has continued its expansion across North America, with Cox Communications adding the channel to its lineup in Greater Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Cox’s video customers in the region can now access JLTV on Channels 77 and 85, marking another step in the broadcaster’s growing distribution footprint. The addition brings JLTV’s mix of cultural, entertainment, and educational programming to new audiences in the American Midwest.

A Cultural Network with Broad Appeal

Described as “more cultural than religious”, JLTV aims to engage viewers of all faiths through a diverse slate of original and acquired programming. The Los Angeles-based network has built a reputation for high-quality, thought-provoking content designed to explore and celebrate the global Jewish experience.

Among JLTV’s flagship productions is Air Land & Sea, an award-winning, historically driven travel series that “uncovers the triumphs and tribulations of the Jewish people over the centuries, highlighting both secular and sacred sites.” The series combines documentary storytelling with historical insight, offering an educational window into Jewish heritage around the world.

Popular Original Programming

Another original production, Bubbies Know Best, has achieved national recognition. The “multi-generational dating show features three Jewish grandmothers, who find the perfect dates for our Jewish and non-Jewish mates.” The series has been widely covered by mainstream media outlets, with “the Bubbies appearing on Access Hollywood, Steve Harvey, TMZ, and more.” The network notes the programme has “taken the nation by storm,” reflecting its growing crossover appeal among audiences of all backgrounds.

Completing JLTV’s trio of standout originals is Generations, a series that “reveals sometimes heartwarming, sometimes heartbreaking stories of our celebrities’ families through deep genealogical research and detailed DNA analysis.” The show blends popular culture with genealogy, tracing personal histories to uncover connections between public figures and their ancestral pasts.

Critically Acclaimed Acquired Series

Alongside its original output, JLTV has also secured rights to a number of critically acclaimed international series. Among these is Fauda, the Israeli action thriller ranked by The New York Times as “the 8th best international series of the last decade.” The network also airs Prisoners of War, which The New York Times named “the #1 best international program of the 2010s” and which served as the creative inspiration for Showtime’s award-winning series Homeland.

Promoting Understanding in a Time of Division

In announcing the new distribution deal, JLTV emphasised its mission as both educational and unifying. “At a time when the nation is experiencing unprecedented spikes in antisemitism, JLTV is a welcome antidote that entertains, educates, and informs its multi-faith audience about the Jewish cultural and religious experience in the United States, in Israel, and around the World,” the network said.

JLTV’s programming spans a broad range of genres, including children’s content, cooking, comedy, drama, exercise, history, lifestyle, news and talk, and travel. The network positions itself as a comprehensive platform for cultural storytelling that seeks to build understanding and community through shared narratives.

Expanding Distribution Across the United States

The latest partnership with Cox Communications continues JLTV’s strategy of expanding its national footprint through major cable and satellite providers. The network already broadcasts across much of the United States, reaching millions of households with both live and on-demand content.

The addition of JLTV to Cox’s Greater Tulsa lineup reflects continued demand for diverse and community-oriented programming within regional cable markets. Cox Communications, one of the largest private broadband companies in the United States, serves more than six million homes and businesses across 18 states.

Strengthening JLTV’s Position in North American Media

For JLTV, the move marks another milestone in its long-term effort to make Jewish-themed and culturally inspired programming more accessible to general audiences. By combining heritage-focused documentaries, light entertainment, and contemporary Israeli dramas, the network continues to expand its appeal well beyond its core demographic.

With its latest distribution deal, JLTV’s executives believe the network is well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory and reinforce its role as a leading voice for cultural dialogue and education in North American media.
