In the presence of the Ministers of Higher Education, Walter Baloga and Eduardo Martínez Díaz, and the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), respectively, A cooperation agreement was signed today at the University of Havana (UH) between the CITMA Regional Delegation in the capital and the universities located here.

In a simple ceremony, all the presidents of the universities of Havana, headed by Miriam Nicado, rector of the University of Havana and host of the event, They signed this agreement that deepens the working and cooperative ties between the Cuban science governing body and the academic community in the capital..

For her part, Osleidys Torres Valdespino, CITMA's regional delegate in the capital, highlighted how Signing these agreements is in line with the government's science-based policy..

“This signing only leads to continuity and deepening of existing links in the field of science to contribute to the development of the country. Universities are a stronghold for the expression of knowledge and results that respond to the priorities of the provinces such as energy, food, transport and roads, society, human development and sustainable environmental management.”

This is a new tool to introduce students to direct work that contributes to CITMA priorities and to universities to be able to participate in key projects and tasks. Various study centers such as UCI or ISA participate in this agreement.It focused on following the principle of transforming Cuba into a country of science and thought that directly affects the collective well-being.
