Prior to the start of the 9 119 deposit per student on the family card, the Puerto Rico government announced that eligible and affiliated families will be required to purchase food that is not ready to participate in the school canteen service when doing so.
According to a written statement by Governor Pierre Pierre Lucy and Secretary of the Department of Family Affairs Carmen Ana Gonzalez, families with eligible students from the public sector and non-PAN families may begin applying for this benefit from Monday, February. 22 on the portal pr.gov/pebt/ , Available day.
However, students from private or non-profit organizations participating in the school canteen service can start asking for help from Friday the 26th at the same link.

Approximately 330 thousand students in Puerto Rico are eligible for B-EPD, of whom 286,787 are students of the public education system and an estimated 50 thousand students belong to qualified private or non-profit school institutions. A total of 219,222 students from families participating in the PAN scheme will start getting from this week, the first discounts on P-EPD will be automatically distributed through the family card, so they do not have to do anything with the company management.
Students participating in the PAN will receive supplies according to the Account Manager’s Social Security last digit on the following dates: Numbers 0 to 2 are scheduled for Friday, February 19; 3 to 5 digits will be issued on Tuesday 23rd February; Nos. 6 and 7 will be released on Wednesday, February 24, while numbers 8 and 9 will be issued on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

The B-EPD aid can be used to purchase unprepared food at more than 3,000 certified stores and family markets of the Nutrition Assistance Program (PAN) around the island.
