It is the ATHENA Fair of Conacyt, where young people attend with projects of education and sustainable culture

The National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt) confirmed the participation of Zacatecas in ATHENA National and Latin American Fair of Humanities, Sciences and Engineering 2021, where it will be represented by Sara Yaneth Carrillo Montoya and Juan Antonio González del Río.

It will be the sixth time that the entity participates in the national fair, informed the Coordinator of Itinerant Science of the Directorate of Diffusion and Disclosure of the Zacatecan Council of Science, Technology and Innovation (Cozcyt), Omar Cárdenas Contreras, when making the news of acceptance public of the Zacatecan projects.

Sara and Juan Antonio obtained their pass to ATHENA by winning first and second place, respectively, in the 2020 Science, Technology and Innovation Project Contest, organized in November by the Cozcyt, whose purpose is to promote scientific vocations among Zacatecan youth and technological.

The state official is confident that the results of 2021, in Chiapas, will be as good or better than last year, when Zacatecas was brought, from the formerly known as the National Science and Engineering Fair (Fenaci), a second place and a honorific mention.

He said that the student from the Colegio de Bachilleres de Zacatecas (Cobaez), Valparaíso campus, will represent the entity with her project Learn Blue. Towards an inclusive and quality education for children with autism spectrum disorder in Mexico, advised by teacher José Alfredo Sánchez Goytia.

Meanwhile, the student of the Center for Scientific and Technological Studies (CECyT) 18 Zacatecas, of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), will fight with his proposal Intelligent System to Promote a Sustainable Culture, guided by the teacher Jesús Víctor Manuel Cid Medina.
