The Oradea authorities announce that they have started the works for the rehabilitation of the Nufărul-Cantemir corridor. This is a large-scale operation at the end of which the axis on which there is public transport, commuter traffic and access to service and production areas will be completely modernized.

The Oradea City Council announces that the rehabilitation works of the Nufărul-Cantemir corridor began on Wednesday. At the end, the artery will have four lanes, a tram line, a green space with a green alignment, a bike lane, a sidewalk and parking spaces parallel to the sidewalk.

“The works began today with the discovery of the pavement of the pedestrian zone located in front of the headquarters of the Bihor Directorate of Agriculture. Work is ongoing on the section between Arieşului Street and Muntele Găina Street, and excavations will be carried out at the level for the construction of the cycle track and sidewalk. As this is a major project, which will disrupt traffic, we apologize to the people of Oradea for the disruption to traffic. We are convinced that after the completion of the works, the citizens of Oradea and not only will benefit from greater comfort in traffic, the Nufărul – Cantemir corridor will play an important role in passenger transport, assuming all public passenger traffic , both trams and buses. from the Metropolitan Area and not only, to the service, production or functional areas ”, announced the mayor of Oradea, Florin Birta.
