They presented numbers and data that reflect gender inequality in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as the marked disparity between the participation of men and women in disciplines such as engineering and mathematics.

In addition, they shared data on income and employment opportunities, underscoring the urgent need to promote a more inclusive and equitable environment in these areas.

Dr. Evelia Reséndez Balderas, a researcher and educator at UAT, addressed the vision through her training in physical and mathematical sciences, and spoke of the need to strengthen support programs for women interested in pursuing these careers.
