These are scientific publishing conferences held in various public and private school institutions in the region.

Experts from UNLP, Conicet and other research spaces in the city brought science to the young ones through Primary School Science Publishing Days, held in public and private school institutions in the city.

This is the Conicet La Plata program that consists of visiting different groups of scientists who carried out participatory and entertaining activities through which they introduced boys and girls to the topics of their research.

This year was the 11th edition of the local organization’s traditional public science communication event, which was held in Schools No. 8 and No. 9 of La Plata, No. 6 of Punta Lara and School of Raices de Junet.

Thus, for example, members of the Center for Research and Development in Applied Sciences said “Dr. Jorge J. Ronco” (Cindeca, Conicet-UNLP-Cicpba) and from the Biochemical Research Institute of La Plata “Prof. Dr. Rodolfo R. Brenner (Inibiolp, Conicet-UNLP), presented a workshop entitled “What to eat when we overeat?”, on healthy eating for children.

Meanwhile, 75 boys and girls, in this case from the fifth grade, participated in “A Day with Our Feet in the Water”, an activity exploring freshwater environments organized by a group from the Institute of Limonology “Dr. Raúl A. Ringuelet” from La Plata (Ilpla, Conicet-UNLP associated with Cicpba).

On the other hand, three research teams from the Center for Parasite and Vector Studies (Cepave, Conicet-UNLP, associated with Cicpba) carried out the workshops “Pambian divers”, “Living like a mosquito” and “The world of fleas and lice”. “For about 70 other students.

“The idea of the program is to be able to bring the educational world closer to research topics and methodologies developed at the local level, with the idea of showing them what city scientists are working on, how they do it, and also showing them how much they directly or indirectly impact the life of the entire community.
