Starting this Sunday, Cuba and the United States change time

Normal time will return to the US and Cuba early this Sunday. From November 5, at 1pm, clocks will be turned back one hour. As usual, residents of both banks can get an extra hour of sleep with this change. For example, this change to normal hours on the island would mean a significant increase in electricity demand, especially during peak night hours. Therefore, authorities in this important area ask once again that customers, both legal and state, should save as much as possible.

Time change in USA

Most states in the US will return to normal. However, there is something unique about Cuba. Clocks go back to 2 am in the North Country.

Standard or Daylight Savings Time will be in effect in the United States until Sunday, March 10, 2024. Clocks go forward one hour that morning. At that time, Daylight Saving Time will begin in all states.

In the United States, in particular, changing time has been a controversial practice in recent years. Just this year, Congress gave the green light to legislation that would allow states to choose whether or not to change the time.

But, the above provision is still not implemented. Therefore, conversion is mandatory in Florida and most states. Only Hawaii and Arizona will maintain current time, meaning they will not return to standard time. The territories of Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam and American Samoa also do not change time.

As usual, both computers and smartphones update the time automatically.
