Russia condemns the drone attack on the Bryansk border region

A Ukrainian drone attack injured one person and caused a power outage in the Russian border region of Bryansk, according to local authorities. Romania is investigating Russian violations of its airspace

Ukrainian drones attacked Russia’s Bryansk border region on Saturday. According to the regional governor, the attack resulted in one person being injured in the town of Bujar, as well as damage to an administrative building. Power could also have been cut off in the area.

Russia released a video in which it claimed one of its Su-35 fighters could be seen shooting down a Ukrainian armed forces plane.

Romania is investigating Russian violations of its airspace

In Romania, a NATO member state, an investigation is underway into a possible Russian violation of its airspace, during a nighttime drone attack against infrastructure in neighboring Ukraine, which raised alarms in the Romanian municipalities of Tulcea and Galati.

Radars detected unauthorized entry into its airspace. The authorities are searching for possible objects that may have fallen on Romanian territory.

Borrell makes a surprise visit to Odessa

The head of European Union foreign policy, Josep Borrell, made a surprise visit, on Saturday, to the Ukrainian city of Odessa, where the country’s main port on the Black Sea is located, and saw the damage caused by the Russian attacks.

From there, he reiterated the European Union’s support for Ukraine in the face of “barbaric Russian destruction” and in its struggle to restore its territorial integrity, recalling Russia’s illegal annexation a year ago of the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. .
