Cuban immigrants expelled from Guatemala

The Guatemalan immigration agency announced on the afternoon of May 29 that it had intercepted 41 foreign migrants, including 11 Cuban nationals, in a transport. The agency noted that all of them were “irregularly in Guatemalan territory without meeting the requirements established by current law,” and that the group included nine minors who were traveling with minors. They thanked the National Police for their work since the settlement of Guatemala.

Cuban immigrants head to America

In several cases, the U.S. government has not opened its southern border, as in the case of “humane parole” since January of this year, to those who did not use legal means to get to the north.
