A State Department spokesman said extradition flights to Cuba would double

A spokeswoman for the US State Department, Kristina Rosales, confirmed to the Telemundo 51 television network that deportation flights with illegal Cubans in the country will soon double. “Smuggling flights will continue, they will double and triple, especially those who use irregular routes, those who are inaccessible, who present themselves through land or sea routes. The official added that the deportations would continue whether they were for Cubans or from any other country. He also asked that those who are in the United States with deportation orders, with relatives who can care for them, find ways to avoid deportation.

“When we end Title 42 and enter Title 8, we want people to know what options they have, because if they have them they should inform themselves, not the trafficker who’s going to charge them,” he added. The authority promised them access to migrant centers opening in Colombia and Guatemala.
