Zarautz students learn science in the arena

– Zarautz City Council, within the 2030 Schools Agenda, has developed a new procedure to educate students of Zarautz on nature conservation. To do this, the different areas of interest in the green-blue ring were distributed among the schools.

Salbatore Mitxelena Ikastola is responsible for the care of the Iñurritza-Talaimendi space, Orokieta Ikastetxea is responsible for the Irita-Asti wetlands and the Postenzori alder grove, the Lizardi Institute is responsible for the Postinizori alder grove and the surroundings of Aresia, Antoniono Ikastet. Lizeo Politeknikoa Cork Oak Tour, La Salle, Monte Albertia LHIII, Hiruerreketa and Vista Alegre Park.

The aim of the initiative is to raise environmental awareness and develop skills such as research, care and critical opinion through this resource. The tasks of the students will be to take periodic walks to analyze the biodiversity of the mentioned areas, make observations and discover problems. In order to carry out the task, the technician in charge of the Blue Green Ring assists the schools. It provides them with all the necessary materials and support and acts as a bridge between the schools.
