The Foundation recognizes the fortieth anniversary of its founding
With a commitment to providing a fair budget and promoting a joint agenda between the Sonora government and the Center for Research in Food and Development (CIAD), we will ensure that science is at the service of society, as Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño emphasized during the celebration of the 40th anniversary of this academic institution.

“I suggest that we work together to define a research agenda that expands the areas of CIAD cooperation with state government, and that the completion of these investigations allows us to identify or presume public policies that give the state government the ability to make its findings more efficient.”
Governor Alfonso Durazo acknowledged CIAD for its exceptional contribution to the development of Sonora for four decades, and assured employees and managers of his desire for budget support to put science at the service of society.

Pablo Wong Gonzalez, Director General of CIAD, confirmed that the Governor has shown a keen interest in education and science, which, on behalf of the institution, has confirmed the intent to cooperate to achieve positive effects of Sonoran.
