Overseas Presidential Election: First Polling Station Opens / News Today

The first overseas polling station in Auckland, New Zealand, opened this Sunday (Monday in New Zealand, due to a time difference). Along with this the official voting for the Presidential and Vice Presidential elections for the next four years established the Observation Schedule for the Electoral Process in Bogot outside Colombia.

In Auckland, the Foreign Ministry said the embassy had given Juliana Punglupi a “peaceful part of the day with a simple start to the day.”

The official called on Colombians to approach embassies to vote freely and arbitrarily.

To check their poll, Colombians living abroad can enter the InfoVotantes web application or download its mobile version for free on Google Play or the App Store.

María Paola Suárez, deputy minister of political relations at the Interior Ministry, called on those with complaints or grievances to do so through the Uriel site.

In total, 972,764 citizens abroad will be able to exercise their right to vote by approaching embassies from June 13 to 19, depending on their time zone (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).
