The High Court held that the criminal proceedings against the former Speaker of the Legislature had not been initiated legally.

Tax lawyer Rodolfo Delgado announced through his Twitter account that the first criminal panel has ordered the full invalidation of the judicial process against former ARENA deputy and former legislator Norman Guizano.

Norman Guizano, the former Speaker of the Legislature, has been accused by the prosecutor’s office of negotiating with gangs in exchange for electoral support when he was a candidate for the presidency in 2014.

The indictment was based on a video from the Guizano National Pastors’ Network of Religious and Alleged Gang Members and a Witness Report (with Criminal Benefits) promised at trial. Check that Quijano offered them money and other benefits in exchange for voting for him in the presidential election.
