Confederations Cup knockout matches limited to three classified Honduran teams

Honduran teams Olympia, Mottagua and Marathon already know their rivals for the second round shortcuts of the Congolese League after qualifying for the Green Monster.

The Purslane team confirmed their presence in the next round They beat Nicaragua’s Diriangén 2-1 At the Olympic Stadium. The ticket was won 3-1 after a 1-0 victory in the first match in Managua.

In the 16th round the marathon will face another Nicaraguan club: Real Estel. The Honduran team will open the keys to the house on September 22 and close the visit on September 29.

For his part, three-time champion Olympia will face Suriname Inter Mongodabo. Pedro Troclio’s Merings will play on September 21 and close at the National Stadium in Tegucigalpa on the 28th.

The other capital club, Mottagua, will see action at home on Panama University grounds on September 23 and return to Honduras on the 30th.

Possible Honduran Duel

If the tie passes, Olympia will face each other in the quarterfinals against the cross-winner between Deportivo Quostadoya of Guatemala and Alajulens of Costa Rica, where former Olympian Alex Lopez will play.

If Modagua advances, it will face the winner of the marathon playing key against Real Esteli.

Santa Lucia Cochrane Malcouba (GUA) vs Sabrisa (CRC)
