Ohani attacked HR # 35 in Angels Versus.  Twins

MINNEAPOLIS – Shoaib Othani hit 35 league home runs to establish himself as the leader of the league home run, beating the Los Angeles Minnesota doubles 6-2.

Othani scored a pair of hits in the sixth inning to break the ball 2-2 between the right-handers to a solo homer.

The Angels initially overcame a two-run deficit and won three of four consecutive games.

Max Stacey had three wins and three runs for the Angels.

Max Kepler and Brent Rooker started the game with home runs, followed by the duo, who fell to their worst record of the season, 16 games below .500.

Rooker’s club shot bounced off Bleacher’s second floor 2-0, 436 feet to the left of the home plate.

Panamanian Jaime Barria (1-0), who was called up from the Triple A branch in Salt Lake to complete the first start of the season, missed his poor start. He allowed two more wins in his seven-inning innings, in which he hit four runs.

The loser was Danny Coulomb (1-1).

For the Angels, Cuban Jose Iglesias scored 4-1.

For the doubles, Dominicans Miguel Sane 4-0, Jorge Polanco 1-0. Venezuela Williams Astudilo 4-0.
