Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves are probably one of the big screen couples who have created high expectations among their fans. After starring together at Top Speed, an instant box office hit in the 90s and enshrined in the book of action movie classics, the public wanted to see them together again. In 2006, the opportunity came with La Casa del Lago directed by Alejandro Agresti. However, it seems that is not enough for them.

On the 30th anniversary of Top Speed, Bullock and Reeves met to pay tribute to the film on the 50 MPH podcast. Throughout the show, they reminisce about past events, tell how they enjoyed the event and don't think too much while explaining the chemistry that brings them together. “There's no formula, that's just the way it is,” said the actress. Additionally, they highlighted their intention to meet again on a set.

“Before I die, before I leave this planet, I think Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera,” Bullock admitted, as podcast host Chris Tapley mentioned the possibility of making a new installment of Top Speed. “In wheelchairs or with walkers? May be. On little scooters at Disneyland?” He immediately joked.

Reeves, for his part, also made it clear that he would like to work with Bullock again, although he compared the project: it may or may not be a new installment of the action movie. “Like there was a siren song, like there was something not done. I want to work with you again before we close our eyes,” the words chosen by the protagonist of The Matrix made it clear that the desire was mutual.

Bullock remembers how he felt when he was offered the chance to star in one of his first big screen hits. “I wasn't the first choice, the second or the third choice. But they chose me, and I was very excited and happy,” she recalled. I'm not looking for anything. “I was grateful and excited for who I was with, and I just adored — and still adore — Keanu,” the Miss Congeniality star recalled.
