Due to the difficulties caused by the huge economic losses and the pandemic crisis, the premiere of the new generation Nissan Qashqai has been postponed for this year. Recall that the Japanese initially planned to introduce the most popular crossover in the range at the end of last year. There are a few months until the official debut, and in order to increase interest in the next premiere, Nissan is now revealing the engines with which the new Qashqai will be available.

The most requested SUV in the Japanese range was preceded by the IMQ concept, introduced in 2019. The Qashqai will have a bolder and more aggressive exterior design, with sharp edges and stylistic elements that the new Juke partially overlooks. At the same time, with the interchange of generations, the model will be larger and will offer more space on board compared to its predecessor.

There will be major changes in the engine range. The Qashqai will be offered with a range consisting of a limited number of gasoline engines, consisting of almost 1.3 and 1.5 liter units. However, they will be available in various power versions, apparently only in electrified form. Thus, the initial 1.3-liter version will be available with 140 hp and 240 Nm or 158 hp and 270 Nm, but regardless of the version chosen, the engine will be assisted by a mild hybrid 12V electric system. choose from manual. with 6 steps and one with continuous variation.

The top 1.5-liter petrol version will be part of the e-Power powertrain, which is essentially a kind of pure electric motor, where the gas station has more of a range-extension role to power the battery. For this variant, the Japanese promise a total of 190 hp and 330 Nm. The type of traction is not yet known, but at least the top version of the e-Power will only have traction on the front axle.
