US President-elect, Joe Biden, announced that democracy has proven its strength in the United States, after his victory in the presidential elections was confirmed Monday evening by the vote of the Electoral College, according to Radio Romania News.
In a speech broadcast on most televisions, Joe Biden attacked his opponent, Donald Trump, for the first time, to run in the elections, and said that the will of the people takes precedence, he said. Radio News Romania.
Joe Biden praised democratic institutions that withstood the tremendous pressure from Donald Trump and his allies to back off his victory.
Joe Biden: “In this battle for the soul of America, democracy triumphed. We the people voted, and trust in our institutions resisted, and the integrity of our elections remains unchanged, so it is time to turn the page, to unite, and to heal.”
The President-elect of the United States also said that there is an urgent goal awaiting him from the first day of his term, which is to control the epidemic and vaccinate the entire population.
