Great invention in Egypt: 250 sarcophagi and 150 statues – science – life

Egypt on Monday revealed the discovery of 250 sarcophagi and 150 bronze statues in the Chakra Negropolis south of Cairo. The latest in a series of significant discoveries in the region.

Sacramento, 15 kilometers south of the famous Pyramids of the Giza Plateau, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also known for the famous hierarchical pyramid of the Pharaoh Dijeser.

Built in 2,700 BC by the architect Imhotep, the monument is considered to be one of the oldest in the world. One of the 150 statues found on the site was that of the architect, visitor and physician Imhotep.

The inventor of the carved stone structure, “revolutionary architecture” in the ancient world, Imhotep, director of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Waziri told reporters on Monday.

“Finding the tomb of Imhotep” is one of the main objectives of the archeological work, which has already carried out four seasonal archeological excavations at the site, Waziri added.

In addition to the Imhotep statue, other bronze statues depicting the Egyptian pantheon “Osiris, Isis, Hawthorne, Amon Min, Nefertam and Anubis” were unveiled, according to a statement from the Ministry of Tourism and Archeology.

Y “250 wooden sarcophagi with mummies” dating to the 5th century BC were also found, Vajiri added. In one of them, the “intact” and “sealed” papyrus discovered by archaeologists was immediately transferred to the laboratory of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo’s Tahrir Square, restored and analyzed.
