More than 60 participants, including children and teenagers, took part in the first week of summer at Conectar LAB, the educational and entertaining proposal designed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Youth, Children and Adolescence Agents. The family is from the human development portfolio for the month of February.
Through programming, robotics, artificial intelligence, art workshops and music, it aims to awaken scientific and technological professions and interest in science and technology.
Conectar LAB coordinator, Annabelle Nizar, explained that the proposed activities cover three specialized areas, including the work of 5 teachers, with workshops that change day by day: programming and robotics, multimedia and art, and combining digital drawing and stop motion with video. Animation and music production “are more nuanced than production, with boys and girls choosing the tunes they like, creating a production and taking the product home.” The main topic chosen to work on in the various workshops is the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are addressed through different approaches.
During these first weeks, young people from the cities of Vila Río Bermejito and General Vidia participated in the Conectar LAB, in a mission identified with the municipalities, as well as children and young people included in the social and educational institutional devices ECA (Alternative Coexistence Space). ) No. 2, No. 3, “Building the Future” and “Dream of Light,” all from The Great Resistance.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Region, Claudia Pilar, celebrated this coordination between ministries that makes it possible “to reach more sectors of society with activities aimed at developing early careers in science and technology, and from there to address sustainable development.” Goals, agreed at the global level, we also contribute to the care of our common home, the planet.

Learn and create through play
These proposals will be repeated throughout February and the first days of March, during which delegations of children and youth will be received from different locations, other alternative coexistence spaces and even from society in general, seeking to promote interest in science and technology. And that they can learn and create through play. “We have an agenda planned for groups from different parts of the province, but it is also expected that the proposal will be opened on Tuesday 20 and 27 February for children, youth and teenagers throughout the community, so those who wish to register can do so,” the Undersecretary said. At the Connectar Laboratory headquarters in Fontana.
