The Atlanta Braves signed up close to the senior player from the Los Angeles Dodgers. Kenley JohnsonWith a one-year, $ 16 million contract, the group announced Friday.
Johnson, 34, spent his 12-year Major League career with the Dodgers, helping the owner win the World Series in 2020. He will now play for the Braves, who beat Los Angeles in the series. Next year’s National League Championship.
The right-handed player had a return season in 2021, developing his maximum average cracking speed since 2017 and using a slice fastball to recover the pole he had lost over the years. He finished the season with a 2.22 ERA and 38 savings.
Johnson has 2.37 carrier eras with 1,022 strikeouts and 350 saves. Near the White Socks, Chicago, Craig Kimble (372), has had higher savings since Johnson’s introduction in 2010.
To accommodate Johnson on the list of 40, Atlanta put their right hand up Jay Jackson Right side strain on 60 day disabled list.
