A special and heartfelt farewell to a couple who have been in love for over 70 years since Covid died

Derek and Margaret, who have been married for more than 70 years, met again three months later, where they were admitted to the hospital for Covid-19.

The 91-year-old couple started their relationship at the age of just 14 and have broken up a few times. But Margaret fell ill and was admitted to the hospital in January, so Derek discovered the virus.

During one visit Derek contracted the disease and was admitted to a hospital like Margaret. Doctors suggested that it was better for them to be close because they did not know how long they would live and when they would see each other or be so close to each other.

“Where have you been?” Margaret asked as soon as she saw Derek. The two missed so much and thanks to the cooperation of the medical staff the couple was able to meet one last time, leaving an emotional picture captured by their daughter Barbara, and in the 50s of the last century he remembered his wedding day.

While reunion may seem to bring happiness and strength to the couple, it is not. Derek passed away on January 31, and Margaret did so three days later. His funeral will be held jointly in a few days.

“It was a very sad moment, but it was so special that they were able to be together. They wanted to have fun together and have a lot of life together,” the couple’s daughter told a local media outlet.
