The Supreme Court On Thursday the Obama administration rejected a challenge to health care, protecting insurance premiums for millions of Americans.

The judges left the entire Affordable Care Act (so-called) intact Obama Care) By ruling that Texas, the other Republican-led states, and two individuals have no right to bring their claim to federal court.

This This is the third time the Supreme Court has come to the rescue The most important part of the legacy of former President Barack Obama (2009-2017) is a health law covering more than 20 million people in the United States and Republicans have been trying to repeal it for a decade.

The main provisions of the law include Protection of people with pre-existing conditions, continuous prevention services at no cost and expansion of the medical program, Which insures low-income people, including those who work in low-paying jobs or do not provide health insurance.

The law’s requirement to pay health insurance or fines is also maintained. When fines were reduced to zero, in 2017 Congress made that provision irrelevant.

The Supreme Court ruling, taken by a majority of seven of its nine judges, marks a setback for former President Donald Trump, who has sought every means to suppress the law.
