The Leasba’s share in the project of Comprehensive Management of the Surgical Block (SIBLOQ) since 2018 it has been key to obtaining this recognition. The SIBLOQ system allows a correct monitoring and optimization of the surgical block in hospitals, through the use of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Interoperability, and the Blockchain.

SIBLOQ It is a technological tool for the management of surgical operations, with the management of information, with medical tests, with the medical team, with the materials and all the administrative and legal procedures. In this way, management is optimized and the entire surgical process is fully monitored.. This informative management is divided into three parts, the clinical data of the patient, the traceability and the Comprehensive Management of the Surgical Block.

The first one collects all the information necessary for the intervention such as medical reports, medical analytics and tests, and data from medical devices with their clinical alerts. The second, integrates all the information collected to optimize processes, activities and decision-making. And the last one, based on blockchain technology to follow the guidelines of the General Data Protection Regulation to guarantee permission management and the security of all data related to the patient.

This project was born out of the need to use the TIC in the development of research activities in the areas of Public Health and in the management of the National Health System. This project, endowed with a budget of 1.2 million euros, is co-financed by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), is within the framework of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation.
