The Ministry of Tourism said on Sunday that Germany declared the Dominican Republic a “safe country” despite the programming of flights arriving via Punta Ghana Airport (PUJ).

Scheduled flights from Germany operate Lufthansa and Condor from Frankfurt.

From Monday, May 31 to Sunday, June 6, the PUJ plans the arrival of 252 international flights, increasing the number of flights arriving at the terminal for the fifth week in a row, according to travel media.

Compared to the previous week, it received 242 aircraft, while PUJ received 10 additional aircraft, “a continuous increase taking into account the fact that it had received 217, 227, 231 and 239 aircraft chronologically in previous weeks. It receives 31, 34 flights this Monday, bringing the total number of international flights arriving in May 2021 to 1,051.

Activities in European countries were similar to last week, with Spain, Ukraine, Poland and Switzerland, Mexico in the US and North America, Panama from Central America and Colombia, Venezuela and Peru from South America.

Flights arrive from the Caribbean, Puerto Rico.

“However, it should be noted that this increase will not occur in major tourist areas of the country, as it is registered in the capital, Santo Domingo,” they assured.

According to the schedule, Punta Ghana Airport will receive 34 flights on Monday, May 31; On Tuesday, June 1, 30 flights are expected to arrive, on Wednesday, 02, 29 flights are scheduled to arrive, on Thursday 03 to 35 flights, a total of 41 on Friday 04, on Saturday 05 May 05, with the maximum number of flights, 44 flights expected, and on Sunday June 6, 39 The week ends with flights.
