Cyngn Triples Autonomous Vehicle Orders Year-on-Year

Cyngn has reported a sharp increase in demand for its autonomous industrial vehicles, announcing that orders for its DriveMod Tugger more than tripled in 2025 compared with the previous year. The growth highlights rising enterprise adoption of autonomous mobility solutions across manufacturing and industrial facilities, as companies seek to improve efficiency, safety and operational resilience.

The update, released from the company’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, points to a year marked by intensified commercial activity and on-the-ground execution. Cyngn said the year-on-year increase in vehicle orders reflects not only heightened customer interest but also the company’s expanded presence within operational environments, where deployments are being actively assessed, demonstrated and scaled.

Over recent months, Cyngn has carried out a concentrated programme of field activity involving its sales, engineering, customer success and operations teams. This included dozens of visits to customer facilities to analyse existing workflows and validate real-world use cases for autonomous vehicle deployment. These site assessments were aimed at ensuring that DriveMod Tugger systems could be integrated effectively into complex industrial settings, where consistency and predictability are critical.

Alongside these visits, Cyngn conducted multiple on-site demonstrations of the DriveMod Tugger, giving prospective customers the opportunity to see the autonomous vehicles operating within live environments. Demonstrations have become an increasingly important part of enterprise sales cycles in industrial automation, as customers look to reduce risk and understand how autonomous systems will interact with people, equipment and infrastructure on the factory floor.

The company has also focused on software development and rollout as a driver of adoption. During the period, Cyngn completed back-to-back upgrades of DriveMod 10.8 and Enterprise Autonomy Suite 3.0 at active customer locations. These upgrades were deployed on-site, allowing existing customers to benefit from improved functionality and performance without disruption to ongoing operations. Software reliability and regular updates are seen as key differentiators in the autonomous vehicle market, particularly as fleets expand and become more deeply embedded in daily operations.

In parallel, Cyngn undertook fleet readiness work to support anticipated demand. This involved preparing a new batch of autonomous vehicles to ensure they were fully operational and ready for rollout as new customer orders are confirmed. The company said this preparation is intended to reduce lead times and enable smoother deployment as customers move from pilot projects to larger-scale implementations.

Looking ahead, Cyngn expects additional deployments to begin in early 2026. These are expected to include multi-vehicle implementations and fleet expansions at existing customer sites, suggesting that early adopters are moving beyond initial trials and committing to broader use of autonomous systems across their facilities. Such expansions are often seen as a key indicator of long-term commercial viability in industrial technology markets.

Commenting on the performance, Cyngn’s chief executive highlighted the operational focus behind the growth. “Tripling the number of vehicles ordered year-over-year reflects real operational momentum,” said Lior Tal, Chief Executive Officer of Cyngn. “Our teams are executing across demos, upgrades, and fleet preparation, and we are focused on scaling this progress into sustained commercial performance.”

The announcement follows a period of increased financial and strategic activity for the company. Cyngn recently completed a $32 million funding raise, strengthening its balance sheet as it seeks to scale production, expand deployments and accelerate product development. The company has also expanded its collaboration with NVIDIA, aiming to support next-generation autonomous vehicle development through advanced computing and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Industry analysts note that enterprise adoption of autonomous industrial vehicles is being driven by a combination of labour shortages, rising safety requirements and the need for more flexible logistics within manufacturing environments. Companies that can demonstrate reliable performance, clear return on investment and the ability to scale across multiple sites are increasingly well positioned as the market matures.

For Cyngn, the sharp increase in year-on-year orders suggests that its strategy of combining on-site execution with continuous software improvement is resonating with customers. As deployments move into multi-vehicle fleets and long-term expansions, the coming year is likely to be a critical test of whether this momentum can be converted into sustained revenue growth and a stronger foothold in the competitive autonomous mobility sector.
