(CNN) – Check out the first Mars video, a rover tribute to NASA’s perseverance, and the first sound.

The agency shares a video captured by the rover’s cameras, showing the perspective of a spacecraft landing on Mars for the first time.

Although the previous spacecraft sent “movies”, they were actually stitched in GIF format, with cameras with diligent video capabilities. In total, the Rover has 23 cameras, including zoom and color functions.

The video may contain audio captured by one of the rover’s two microphones, which were enabled to hear entry, descent and landing sounds.

The rover and its attached helicopter, named Ingenuity, landed on Mars on Thursday, February 18th.

After landing, the rover sent data and images using NASA’s Mars Reassessment Orbiter, which has been orbiting the planet since 2006.

The first black and white images of the rover’s landing site were immediately available. The first color pictures were shared last Friday.

Unprecedented images of Mars

The rover sent a scene never seen before: looks like a landing on Mars. This movie is one of the videos that will be shared on Monday.

Pauline Hwang, Rover’s strategic task manager, said the team was “inspired” when they received the first image shared during a NASA news conference on Friday.

“This shot of a camera in my jet bag catches me in the air shortly before my wheels land,” says the Twitter account’s diligent tweet. “The moment my team dreamed of for many years is now a reality. Courage for powerful things.

Small dust could be seen rising from the surface of Mars, which was triggered by the rover landing engines and was just a few feet from touching the surface.

“The team is overwhelmed with excitement and joy at the successful landing of another rover on the surface of Mars,” said Adam Steldsner, the rover’s chief engineer. “When we make such investments, we make them for humanity, making them a gesture of our humanity.”

Color images available on Friday show the characteristic red of the surface of Mars.

An open horizon, much to explore. Can’t wait to get started, ”the diligence account tweeted.

Rocks are found all over the flat surface of the Xerox crater landing site, but they are smaller compared to the rover’s larger wheels.

Another tweet with the picture reads: ‘I love rocks. Look at them next to my wheel. Are they volcanic or sedimentary? What story are they telling? I can’t wait to find out.

The Harris camera on the Mars Renaissance Orbiter, which flew above the landing site as the diligence approached the dock, captured an incredible view as the spacecraft’s parachutes opened.
