In Rosario there is a “Messi Space” at the Santafecino Sports Museum (Ayacucho 4800). This is an initiative by which the Santa Fe government pays tribute to the best soccer player in the world and captain of the national team who was born and lived part of his childhood near the museum facilities.

Accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Susana Rueda, and the Minister of Government and Public Innovation, Fabián Bastia, Governor Maximiliano Bollaro expressed his appreciation that “the Sports Museum is magnificent. It surprises those who come to visit it because of the quality of what we have built, as a state policy, to show the athletes of Santa Fe and And now it's even more hierarchical with this new innovative experience, Messi Space.“

Admission to the space is free but must be purchased in advance on the website.

In this way, the governor explained that: “A golden ball and shoe are on display, the original trophies donated to us by our captain, the pride of Rosario, the province, the country and the world.”We also display a replica of the World Cup, a model of the neighborhood where Lionel lived, replicas of the national team jerseys that the star used at the 2008 Olympic Games, the 2021 Copa America, and the 2022 World Cup Final, and we in turn set up multimedia devices to learn more about your life.

Regarding the donation from Messi and his family, Polaro was “happy and proud that these very important things in Lionel's life are now, in this museum, available for all people who want to come and see them and enjoy them.”

For her part, Minister of Culture Susana Rueda stated that “The Messi space will be open for winter enjoyment in Santa Fe and then it can continue to be visited because this will certainly attract more tourism to Rosario.Located just a few blocks from where Lionel Messi was born, the museum needed a tribute of the quality and scale that the world’s best soccer player deserves. “We are proud to be able to make this available.”

The purpose of the proposal is to pay tribute to the captain of the Argentine football team. The space, located on the lower floor of the museum, immerses the viewer in the world of emotions and achievements that defined the career of the global star, leaving an indelible mark on the history of the sport.

The museum is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 1pm (last entry at 12pm) and from 2pm to 7pm (last entry at 6pm); and Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 7pm (last entry at 6pm). Admission is free and requires advance reservation at: www.musedeldeportesf.gob.ar/entradas

In addition to the above, the setting also includes a photo spot that simulates the Buenos Aires celebration scene (with the players on the bus, sharing the celebrations); a personal diary in which he recounts, with photos and texts, the main moments of his life and replicas of the team's famous jerseys: one with the number 15 used at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the other with the number 10, worn in the final of the Copa America Brazil 2021 and the number 10 he used in the final of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
