Edmundo González guaranteed a “peaceful alternative” in Venezuela

The Venezuelan opposition continues to challenge the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro, despite threats and ongoing harassment and censorship measures. This Saturday, within the framework of the election campaign, Maria Corina Machado and Edmundo González Urrutia mobilized for the first time in the town of La Victoria in Aragua.

Opposition leaders shouted as thousands of supporters gathered in support of the diplomat's candidacy. “Freedom”.

During his speech, González Urrutia sent three messages: “First, we ask the international community to be close to us in this process, because it will be decisive to reduce migration and make Venezuela a reliable partner. For those who still believe in the government, I guarantee a peaceful transition In which all political powers can exercise their rights within the framework of the constitution.

“To the National Armed Forces: You play a fundamental role in the security of all. I will guarantee its institutionality as stated in Article 328 of the Constitution,” he added.

And he concluded: “Finally, I would like to propose something to you: imagine for a moment the country that is to come. A country where the President does not insult; A country where when you come home from work, you know you got your money's worth. If you turn on the switch, there will be light; Open the tap and there will be water. A country with poor health and education. A country without political prisoners. Our airports and borders will be overflowing with children returning home.

María Corina Machado, who dropped her candidacy due to disqualification imposed by the regime's justice system to support the application of an experienced Venezuelan diplomat, was at his side all along.

“Today we ask each of you, all Venezuelans across the country “This July 28th, let's unite and vote Edmondo for President.”Vente said Venezuela's leader, who reiterated that the opposition is “going to win” the election.

“Long Live Free Venezuela! “This fight is to the end.”Hugging the opposition candidate, he added.

Thousands of Venezuelans demanded independence during a rally led by María Corina Machado and Edmundo González Urrutia.

For its part, Chavismo also held a rally this Saturday in the state of Aragua.

God given hairConsidered the dictatorship's number two, Maduro said he would receive an “avalanche of votes” in the election.

“On July 28 (…) an avalanche of votes will support Nicolás Maduro,” the leader noted in front of hundreds of supporters gathered in the city of La Victoria, where the main opposition coalition Democratic Unity Platform (PUD) ), also held an event in support of González Urrutia.

Regarding the opposition candidate, Cabello called him a “puppet of imperialism” and led a “crooked project” referring to the United States, without elaborating or showing evidence to support these allegations.
