The Ukrainian Air Force achieved significant success by downing a total of 10 Russian fighter jets in 10 days, including nine advanced fighter-bombers, notably Sukhoi Su-34 and Sukhoi Su-35 models, and a rare Periv. A-50 radar aircraft.

By The reason

This figure represents a significant loss for Russia, especially given the limitations of its aerospace sector, which is currently plagued by international sanctions that limit its production capacity to a few dozen new fighter jets annually.

The rate at which Russia is losing these aircraft is alarmingly high, showing a 20-fold disparity between losses and the replenishment capacity of its air arsenal.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry, with a subtle ironic tone, confirmed the downing of the ninth and tenth planes of the month, both Su-34 models: “Oops, we did it again! Already 10 Russian planes destroyed in 10 days!

The tactics used in these shootings have not been fully disclosed, raising questions about the tactics used by Ukraine. One possibility is to assign American-made Patriot missile launchers to mobile air defense units operating near the front lines, using 90-mile-range PAC-2 missiles to ambush Russian aircraft and move quickly to avoid retaliation.
