As completely reckless, Pee Wee described his actions last weekend that led to his arrest by US authorities.

The former Cumbia Kings singer made a trend last weekend after it was announced that he was behind bars for driving under the influence.

Now, the singer decided to break the silence, and in an interview with the show “Ventaniando”, he said that he regretted his behavior because it was not the message he wanted to give to his fans: “I'm sorry, I'm sorry, this is what I want to say to the youth, to the general public. Not the desired news. I show my face here with my heart in my hand,” he said.

The “My Sweet Girl” singer also explained what happened and how she spent her time in jail: “I was reckless driving early in the morning with some relatives having a few drinks. They pulled me over and I spent two hours, I think 11 or 12 hours in total. “Never happened to me in my life,” he added.

Regarding his legal troubles, Pee Wee admitted that he was released without bail and would be back in court in 30 days: “They gave me an opportunity to accept that you're going to sign yourself and appear in court. 30 days, that's what's going to happen. It has a lot to do with how you behaved and how I tried to respect authority.

He also explained that he would seek legal help because he didn't want to go on a criminal record: The incident was a great life lesson: “If I need a lawyer, I don't want to put it on my record. “I have no idea what the processes are like because I've never experienced it, but we're learning,” he concluded.
