'Emily in Paris' star Ashley Park recovering from 'critical septic shock'

(CNN) — Ashley Park is focusing on being “grateful” after experiencing a severe medical scare over the holidays.

“During the December New Year's holiday, what started as tonsillitis turned into severe septic shock, affecting multiple organs,” the 32-year-old “Emily in Paris” actress wrote. on his verified Instagram on Friday.

Park added that his condition had “improved” despite what was initially said.

The actress thanked her “Emily” co-star and partner Paul Foreman, who Park shared in a few photos and videos, for being by her side “unconditionally” during her health crisis while in the hospital. .

“You calmed my fears and took me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in ICU, terrifying emergencies, countless scans and tests and injections, excruciating pain and so much confusion, when we were alone on the other side of the world. Away from the people we knew,” she wrote. “I love you, Paul. More than I can express.”

Park is best known for playing singer Mindy opposite Lily Collins in the Netflix series.

The “Joy Ride” star tagged Jolly Being, referred to as a health island in Madivas, for “responding immediately” and “being ready to provide language translations and life support.”

Septic shock is the last and most serious stage of sepsis. According to the Cleveland Clinic.
