Zigzag celebrates science and technology 19 years after its establishment in Zacatecas »FresnilloMX

Through various activities aimed at educational institutions and families, on January 20, the Zigzag Interactive Centre, of the Zacatecan Council of Science, Technology and Innovation (Cozcyt), will celebrate 19 years of promoting and motivating among Zacatecan children and young people what is fun. And interesting on both topics.

Realizing the importance of this space for the scientific and technological development of the state of Zacatecas, a special program has been created, in cooperation with institutions and organizations, which, through its recreational activities, stimulates invited school groups and families interested in participating.

The official event will take place on Friday, January 19, attended by primary and secondary school groups from the municipalities of Zacatecas, Guadalupe and Calera, and hosted by Cosset Director, Hamorabi Gamboa Rosales, and ZigZag Director, Atenea Morales Samaniejo. .

Activities aimed at robotics, astronomy and chess, among others, will be offered on January 19 and 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with free admission.

In this anniversary celebration, the cooperation and support of Governor David Monreal Ávila was essential, as well as the State System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (SEDIF), headed by Sara Hernández de Monreal, which facilitates the approach of girls, boys, youth, teachers and sectors exposed to science and technology.

Through its support of this space for the promotion of scientific careers, the commitment of the Government of Zacatecas to the peace, well-being and progress of the country is strengthened, in all sectors of its society.

Some of the special activities that will be offered are: “Playing Chess” taught by the Chess Development Alliance of Zacatecano; “Robot Show”, with participants of the Robot Challenge and the first tournaments; “Cats as Invasive Species,” an activity on the topic of invasive cats, taught by Naxili Judith Lujan García.

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the “Workshop on Solar Food Drying and Sustainable Technologies”, from INIFAP Zacatecas; As well as in the “Workshop towards the 2024 solar eclipse” with a family gathering.

This celebration will be an ideal occasion to launch the model wind generator installed in the winding offices, which will serve as a model for the operation of clean energy generation machinery.

The 19th anniversary of Zigzag represents an opportunity to celebrate the continuing commitment of the State Government, through Cozcyt, to scientific publishing and with all sectors of society, which for years have been part of and have contributed to making this dedicated space a source of inspiration, stimulation and arousal of interest in science and technology in the state of Zacatecas, with the aim of raising the culture scientific community.
