The Government Council urged the university administration, research and innovation to start preparing Draft law on science, technology and innovation in AndalusiaIt is a standard that is expected to be approved next year. Mechanisms will also be included that enhance research in all fields and fields of knowledge, support the establishment and unification of research and development centers and increase levels of knowledge transfer, especially between the university and the company, which contributes to redirecting the Andalusian production model towards making it more sustainable. In addition, special attention will be given to promoting research and innovation in the productive fabric and more specifically in SMEs to increase the competitiveness of Andalusian economic activity.

On the other hand, in Andalusia, 28,518 people (full-time equivalent), including research, technical and auxiliary personnel, are allocated to R&D activities, an increase of 5.45% compared to 2021.
