City of Juarez.- The Environment Directorate is investigating the case of a dog mistreated by a supermarket security guard after the case became known on social networks, said the agency's head, Cesar Díaz Gutierrez.
He opined that a video showing the violent acts of a supermarket security guard who physically assaulted a dog and finally threw it to the ground is going viral on social media. It is not known whether the dog has an owner or is an abandoned animal.
He indicated that in response to this situation of animal abuse, they have launched an investigation to determine the identity of the person involved and apply the relevant sanctions based on the Animal Protection Act for the state of Chihuahua.
He also said that as part of this process, a complaint has been lodged with the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor for activities against animal welfare and the policeman responsible for his actions will be found soon. .
The Director of Ecology said that the community will treat this case with due seriousness and urgency and not only apply relevant sanctions, but also hope to encourage thinking about the importance of respect and care for animals in our society.
Animal welfare is a shared responsibility and such acts must go unpunished to ensure a safer and more compassionate environment for all, he said.
